About the artist:

Caroline has a BA in Art History, graduating with honors from Wellesley College, and a Masters in Teaching in Art from Western Region College. She is a past president of the Watercolor Society of Oregon, and is a signature member of the Northwest Watercolor Society. Her paintings are in hundreds of public and private collections, including a 1% for Art Commission for the library of the Oregon Institute of Technology and the American Embassy in Honduras. A sampling of her original paintings may be viewed at Island Studios.

She has been teaching watercolor to adults for almost thirty years. She has taught outdoor workshops every summer since the late 70's and in the winter teaches a number of classes on Orcas Island and in Friday Harbor, Bellingham, Edmonds and Seattle. Currently she happily resides on a small island without ferry service in the San Juan Islands off of Washington state. Her greatest joy in teaching is watching students discover aspects of themselves and learn to express themselves in new ways.
