Introduction to Metal Embossing

Metal has become a popular embellishment in many art and craft projects. Metal embossing has been used for centuries to create raised designs in metals. Although considered an aspect of repujado or repousse, met embossing used thinner metals, so the tooling is much easier. In this class, you will learn about metals, tools, and techniques to emboss metal by hand and with a machine. Coloring metals will also be addressed. All tools and metals will be provided.

  Schedule:   Saturday, 1 - 4 pm, May 26
